Wedding parties are drawn to the path leading to the pond, and the statue of The Bather beyond. Some take the entire facilities of Woodbyne for the wedding ceremony and reception as well. The formal reflection pool is framed with clipped Manchurian pears. A bronze statue stands at the end of the pool, against a curtain of Bhutan cypress. "From the turning circle you look to the three other vistas - to the left the hotel, to the right the function room, built in 1897, and the central vista, the reflection pool." Residents of the hotel can stroll around the gardens at their leisure. |
